Here is a secret and it you know me well you probably know it's not that hidden of one, I used to hate my legs! As a matter of fact it is kinda hit an miss on how I feel about them. But most of the time I realize I'm the only one who even thinks about them so why not feel good, feel good about myself decide hey these legs are strong! Or hey I can run fast because of these money makers! What ever your flaw is my chalange to you is to think one positive thing that your flaw adds to you and think that thought after every negative thought that goes through your head about your flaw. It may feel fake or forced or even funny at first. But try it! And trust me it is interesting what happens. Now I'm not saying there arnt days were this is hard but, I'm up for the challenge and I think you can be too! So for the sake of the hating on my legs I have done here, I'll wrap it up with this though... Oh these legs, big and strong make it so I can do what I love everyday! And they're pretty nice to look at too!

Sure go work out, force yourself to do it. But why? Your attitude is completely up to you! Having trouble working out? Find new ways to make it fun! Meet up with friends, sing, dance, laugh! This last weekend I had the pleasure of running with my good friends Ryan, Scott, and Kyle. Yes we did our usual long run but were giving high fives, laughing, and jumping around! Before we knew it we had one of our best runs yet and enjoyed the whole thing! How will you enjoy your workout!? It really is up to you how you feel about your day! Think about it, I mean, how cool is that! You decide how to interpret what is going on around you! Why not make it out to be the best that it can? I know this is easier said then done. I started off the week not doing this as well as I could. Luckily, I surround myself with some pretty awesome people who help me remember these things. So once again there is that whole it's up to us to choose to surround ourselves with the right people. People who will help, think, be, and feel better! Choose to feel good and surround yourself with people who are doing the same! I promise if you make that choice you won't feel worse! =] We are always working, looking, doing something for the future. Which is great, don't stop! But while in the process enjoy the now. Enjoy your sip of coffee as you walk out the door. Enjoy that last rep as it burns so bad you want to stop, enjoy the people you interact with at work and throughout your day. Everyone and everything has something to offer you for the future but also right in that instant enjoy the connection for that very moment. We all have our own insecurities, our flaw, or "thing" that drives us nuts. But here is a little secret. Something to think about. Since everyone had them, stop worrying about others noticing yours, because the truth is they are probably too busy worried you will see theirs to even focus in on the negative things about you. If you let go and focus on your good, you will automatically exude positivity and beauty. When you are doing that it out shines any negative thing that would otherwise be projecting on yourself and others! In short: be positive and you will be perceived that way! Also, it is contagious! My mantra of the day: you are strong, you are fast, you are beautiful, you deserve it all! In life there are so many things that we need to do, have to do, want to do, and will do. Think of that one thing you have been putting off today and just do it. Don't think about why or how, it will fall into place. Just do it no excuses. I'm sure there is something in the back of your mind weighing on your shoulders. That weight will not lift until you release it. So what ever it is, need, want, good, bad, go for it release that weight, and let yourself be free, so you can fly through the rest of your day! Go dance and be free afterwards too! Someone very wise once told me to look in the mirror and say "hey Hott Stuff, you're looking good today". At first I thought this sounded crazy, but I figured what the heck I'll try it. The first couple times I did it I laughed, and laughing made me feel good. After awhile it became natural, and so did feeling good when I looked in the mirror. Now it feels natural to look in the mirror and feel good! Give it a try! Never say something to yourself that if you said to others would make them feel negative about theirself. You are your best friend! It is so easy to look outside ourselves and decide how to feel about our day, but what did you do for yourself to make your day better? It is as easy as taking a few seconds to enjoy something you love, to make yourself a priority and make your own day better! |
